VICTORY!!

VICTORY!! O’Connor & Battle secure victory in employment discrimination suit before the Illinois Human Rights Commission! Congratulations to Kenneth Battle and Lisa R Jackson, who worked with others in the office to obtain such a great result.

In this case a security office claimed that he was discriminated against and received lower wages than his fellow co-workers. However, through extensive discovery and testimony of the principal of the security company, the trial team was able to prove that the only reason the claimant’s wages differed from others was due to his refusal to participate in computer training or perform additional duties and responsibilities that serve to boost one’s salary. The ruling specifically noted that the actions of our client were non-discriminatory in nature. What an incredible way to start off the new year!
