Kay grew up in sunny Southern California. Her dreams of becoming a lawyer began with California Proposition 8, which outlawed same-sex marriage, believing lawyers were crucial to correcting the injustice.

As a litigator, Kay brings both highly analytical interpretation of the case law and statute. Simultaneously, she brings compassionate approach to clients, understanding how overwhelming and frightening facing legal action is.

Kay earned her B.A. from University of California, Berkeley and Juris Doctor from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
