• Obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a cardiologist after a 13-day jury trial in a wrongful death case in Kane County. Plaintiff’s counsel sought over $8 million in damages for the surviving spouse. The jury deliberated for only an hour before returning a verdict in favor of our client.
• Obtained defense verdict on behalf of an orthopedist in claim of fraudulent concealment of hip bone damage.  
• Obtained defense verdict on behalf internist in claim of failure to diagnose and treat a COPD exacerbation, which resulted in the patient’s death. 
• Obtained defense verdict on behalf of cardiothoracic surgeon in claim of performing unnecessary heart bypass surgery; the matter resulted in a hung jury of 11 to 1 in favor of our client; the case was later dismissed. 
• Obtained defense verdict on behalf of internist in claim of failure to diagnose and treat a pulmonary embolism, resulting in death of a 44 year old man. 
• Obtained defense verdict on behalf of a family practitioner in a claim of failure to manage a post-gastric bypass patient, resulting in death. 
• Obtained defense verdict on behalf of a thoracic surgeon in a claim of improper repair of an aneurysm, causing an intimal flap, resulting in leg paralysis. 
• Obtained directed verdict on behalf of family practitioner in claim of failure to diagnose a bacterial skin infection, resulting in a partial leg amputation.
